Favorite Prom Eyeshadows

Prom can start to add up with the dress, shoes, accessories getting your hair done and other items. One way to save is to do your own makeup! Here are some really good makeup palettes and products to help you look your best on your prom night!

Here are just some Palettes, Quads, Trios and duos that I think are great find to make a really nice prom look. The great thing about these are that you don't have to spend a lot of money on every individual color. They are also all able to be found at the drugstore that way you aren't spending a lot of money on colors you may not wear again.

Favorite Purples

Thought I would share some of my favorite purple items this season. Lavender is one the many spring hot colors! So make sure you add some purple/lavender to your wardrobe and life. Adding a touch here and there will keep you in style and feeling much more like spring!

N. Y.C. Tinted Lip Balm

On one of my many trips to the drugstore last month I happened to pick up one of the N.Y.C. Tinted Lip Balm in the shade of Sugar Kiss. I didn't really expect much of the but it was on sale so I thought that I should try it just for the fun of it. I ended up forgetting that I had it until today when I was in a rush and ended up wearing minimal makeup(just some foundation, eyeliner and mascara). I wanted just a light lip color so went through my lip glosses when I came across the N.Y.C. product. I thought I would give it a chance so I opened it and used it. To my surprise it was really really creamy to touch and apply to my lips. Then once on my lips felt really soft and smooth, I was shocked that such a inexpensive product could deliver such good quality! It also smells yummy, just like melted sugar.  I also like the fact that this lip balm also gives you a light color tint so your lips don't look nude it gives it a nice shimmer with color. The only thing I do not like about this product is that you have to use your finger to apply it or carry around a lip brush. I usually don't like products that require this but I am thinking I can make an exception for this one. I can't wait to go back to drugstore to purchase a few more!

Febuary Favorites

Yay, March is finally here making spring closer, can't wait till the winter weather is over with! Here are some of the products that I have been using for the month of Febuary!

Hair Care
I have been using Back to Basic Coconut Mango Rich moisture Shampoo and Conditioner. The first thing that I love about this product is that it smell really good! It leaves your hair feeling really soft and silky. If you have coarse of curly hair it helps soften your curls out.

Skin Care
Neutrogena Power Cream Wash. This a perfect face cleanser for days that you don't wear makeup  or if you need a mild cleanser for removing your makeup. I use this after I use my makeup remover to remove any residue and also to rehydrate your skin. I have noticed that if your face is irritated this helps sooth the skin. It also has ingredients in it that help prevent acne.

  Makeup
Maybelline Mineral Power Simply Coaral II. Mineral powder blush that goes on easy and gives a blushing glow. The color is not very pigmented which is perfect for a everyday simple blush.

EOS Lemon Drop Lip Balm. This lip balm comes in a super cute package and smells wonderful:) It also has SPF in it to protect your lips from sun damage.

Book
Secret Rites of Social Butterflies" by Lizabeth Zindel. This book is cute funny and full of secret drama. It is based around a girl who is a senior in high school who transfers to fancy private school and is accepted into the most popular group of girls in the school. What she doesn't know is being in the popular group comes with much more than she bargained for.
