Now everyone knows brands of Nail polish like O.P.I. , N.Y.C, Sephora, Essie and Barry M. These are all great nail polish brands that do wonders on your nails. Recently I have been wanting to try out some other brands just to see what they are like and to see if I could find a new nail polish love:) I fell upon Finger Paints at Sally Beauty Supply. There nail polishes are mostly around 4-6 dollars and come in a array of pretty colors. I picked up a few colors and the one that that I painted on my nails today is A Heart for Art. It is a super pretty color for the ending of winter and the beginning of spring. The polish itself is easy to apply with the long nail brush and doesn't take more then the two coats. So far I really like this brand and the colors that they have and will be getting more:)!

Beauty Tips to Make Your Nail Polish Last!
I know that I personally hate when I spend time making my nails look ever so perfect just fro them to chip within 1 or 2 days. But luckily there are ways to make your nail polish stay on your nails longer and dazzling! I have been doing these little things to help my nails stay healthy and keep them looking great longer. The wonderful thing about it all is that you won't have to always be fixing your nails or hiding chipped finger nails from others.
Tips!
1. Before painting your nails make sure that you wash your hands thoroughly to remove all excess oils and any type of residue that may be on your nails. This will allow the nail polish to be applied to a clean surface and not on top of oily residue.
2. After washing I like to use a Cuticle Pusher to push my cuticles down so that I am able to cover my entire nail bed. This will allow your nail polish to last because you will be painting new nail growth that may have been covered by your cuticle and would have grown out not polished forcing you to paint your nails again. These can be purchased just about anywhere from the dollar store to your grocery store for $1-$3.
3. Base Coat! Always apply a base coat to your nails not only will it keep your nails protected and healthy but it will make a smooth base for your nail polish. There are many different brands and kinds of base coats depending on your nail needs. I use the Seche Base which can cost from 4-7 dollars depending on the store.
4. Time to apply the nail polish! Do not apply in thick coats, you may think this will help you get the color you desire but its only makes it more prone to peeling. Apply your nail polish in thin coats and allow them to dry.
5. Apply a top coat. Top coat protects your nail polish from chips and gives it a beautiful shine. I use the Seche Vite Dry fast top coat. I love it because it protects my nails and it dries fast so I don't have to stand around waiting for my nails to dry:)! ranges from 4-7 dollars
**Extra tips! Apply nail polish to the tops of your nails in a horizontal motion. This will help keep your nails from chipping.
Keep your nails and hands moisturized because dryness can cause nail polish to deteriorate which equals lots of chipping.

Beauty Tips for Healthy Lips
As winter is ending and spring is coming you want to make sure that your face is looking beautiful for those spring days outside. One of the most overlooked place on a persons face is their lips. Therefore I decided to give you guys some great tips on how to protect and maintain healthy lips. Before the tips just some things that you should understand about your lips and why they don't stay moist. The reason for that is because your lips do not have sebaceous glands which are found on your face and produce oils to protect the skin from drying out. That is the reason your lips dry out so fast.
Tipss!
1. Don't lick your lips because the saliva can dry out your lips and make them dry. Instead apply a Lip Balm. I like to keep one next too my bed so that every night before I go to sleep I can apply some to my lips to keep them from drying out in the night.
2. When you wash your face at night don't forget to use your scrub and exfoliate your lips or you can use a little sugar and warm water.
3. Make sure that if you are going to be exposing your lips to the sun to use something with SPF in it.
4. If want really moist lips apply honey on them and rub it and rinse it off. Honey is a natural moisturizer. Lemon is also used to lighten dark spots on the lips.
Using these tips will help you get the the most out of your lip products and make them last longer!

2 Ways to Use Your White Jeans
2 Ways to Use Your White Jeans by beautyaffair08 featuring a racerback tank
This uses the white jeans for two totally different looks. The first being a evening going out type look that uses the floral trend and the white jeans with a touch of a bright color blue:) The second look is more of a daytime look that uses the white jeans and nautical theme!
Bold Patterns
Patterns by beautyaffair08 featuring peep toe high heels
Just my take on how you can use patterns in your everyday outfits:)!
Spring Trend Basics
Spring season brings a whole spring collection of clothes! This season seems to be all about bright colors, Floral patterns and just unique patterns in general. I have also been seeing a little bit of a nautical theme which I love:) I thought I would show you some of the items that I purchased yesterday on the President day sale and some basic items you can incorporate into your everyday outfits.
The first trend basic is a pair of white pants/jeans
White jeans can be paired with any top, I think it would be super cute to pair with a bright colored floral top and a cute pair of sandals. Or even to wear a nautical themed outfit a cute striped tank top would look great.
Floral! These two items I brought from Forever 21 online
The Dress 24.80 and Shoes 22.80
Something floral is a must have for this season! There are many places you can find floral items but these were just a few that I picked up. My favorite of the two are the shoes they are super cute and I plan on wearing them with a cute basic skirt and a plain T-shirt with some cute jewelry!
Bright patterns
Dress 19.80 Forever 21
This dress is soo cute and it also combines another spring trend that I did not mention which is one strapped dress and shirts. The pattern is very unique and bright and can be worn with a basic colored cardigan.
Top 26.50 Charlotte Russe
Another bold pattern that also uses bright colors and would be great to pair with those basic white jeans!
There are many other spring trends out this season! Let me know if you want me know if you want me to do a part two!

Neutrogena Makeup Removers
As mentioned before I recently brought One Step Gentle Cleanser and Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover. I have been using them for a few days and thought I would give them a review on how I think they are working.
First Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover
I love this product! First the liquid is a pretty blue color that you must shake up to mix the solution and it creates liquid foam. I use a cotton ball to soak some of the solution up. Then I place it one my eye and let it sit for a few seconds then slowly slide it off and basically all my eye makeup is removed. Soo amazingg and it doesn't sting my eyes at all. The scent is pretty fresh and doesn't smell like chemicals which is always a plus! The great thing is that it doesn't take a lot of the product to do the job so, it seems as if it will last longer too. Its also at a great price of being below $12.
This works as well as the Eye makeup remover and shares the similar qualities as it is not harsh on the skin and it takes little product to do the job. I usually wet my face with warm water and use one pump of this and work it in to my skin for about a minute or so then rinse off and all of my makeup is removed and my skin feels fresh and soft! The only bad thing I have to say about this product is that it does sting your eyes.

Presidents Day Haul
President Day sales! So I actually didn't get much shopping at the mall and other stores today. I actually ordered more online because the sales were soo much better and I saved a lot. Although I did get some beauty products. Here is what I got CoverGirl Lipslicks in clear
I used this as a base for my lipsticks to keep my lips soft and moist and so far it seems to work wonders! I will keep you all updated on how it works.
Maybelline Great Lash
Ok, So, of course I wanted to test out some of the products so that I could tell you guys about them. I tried this because I have been hearing so many good reviews about it. I have super short t ashes so when I used it, I did not get a lot of length from it but it did make my eyelashes look really full and natural. I would recommend it for natural everyday looks because it makes your eyelashes look natural, soft and really pretty.
Maybelline Ultra Liner
I brought this because I needed a new waterproof liquid liner. But I found out that I am not a big fan of it. Firstly the brush to me is a bit flimsy and I prefer the sturdy brushes over these types. It is a bit of a hassle to put on because you really have to take your time so that you do not mess up your lash line and it also goes on thick. The positives of this product is that it doesn't smudge and stays on for a really long time.
Queen Helen Mint Julep
I just used this like 20 minutes ago and my face feels great! I had heard so much about this product that I had to buy it. I have oily skin and after using this I can tell that it has removed all the oils from my skin but did not over dry it which is amazing. With only using this product once I can tell that it seems to be a promising new product to add to my skin care routine
I got a bunch of other products but haven't had the chance to use them yet, so I will keep you guys updated as I use them and once I get the online products I will be doing reviews on them also.
Let me know if there are any products you want me to review:)

Broadway, N.Y.C.
As much as I love the Broadway plays in NYC, I didn't actually get to go to one today. What I did do is use N.Y.C. minute nail polish in the color Broadway. I love the color! It reminds me of a royal color that a queen would wear or a color someone from the Tudor's time would be dressed in. This is the second color that I have used from the N.Y.C. minute nail polish. The N.Y.C. minute line was designed to be a quick drying nail polish and so far it proves to be true. The other color that I have is East Village. I also think that it is sooo cute that all the nail polish are New York inspired names!
Neutrogena Products!
I went to my local CVS only to find out that my favorite drugstore skin care products were on sale! First of all, in case you don't know Neutrogena is an amazing skin care line that has products that basically help a vast range of skin types. Well anyway I saw the sale and I couldn't pass it up even though last week I had already brought some new skin care products. I have super oily skin so I was in need of something to help control it. I got some oily skin products and a few others. What I ended up buying all together was: The Deep Clean Long Last Shine Control Cleanser/Mask, Pore Refining Toner, Rapid Clear Scrub, Oil Free Acne Stress Control Power-Cream Wash, One Step Gentle Cleanser and Oil-Free Eye Makeup Removuer. Alot, I know! So far all the products have been working well with my skin and I will continue to use them along with my other skin care products and let you know how they work out! Of Course so far I have 2 favorites which seem to be really helping my skin and I thought I would give you guys a mini review of each.
This can be used as both a cleanser and a mask so its absolutely amazing! I use it as a cleanser in the morning and it leave my skin feeling soft and not oily at all. It hasn't stopped my skin from being oily all day but it does help my skin stay oil free for 4-5 hours.
This scrub feels soo good on the skin and it barely feels like a scrub at all. I like this because it is not as harsh on the skin as many other scrubs tend to be. I use this at night every other day. Although I do believe that it is gentle enough to be used everyday. It helps clear up breakouts over night for my skin and leaves a refreshing feeling.

Fantastical TV: Real Housewives of Atlanta
Ok, so lately I have been giving into my guilty pleasure and watching reality TV. When one weekend came across a marathon of the Real Housewives of Atlanta on Bravo. OMG I was glued to the TV for the entire day! The cast is soo entertaining and the drama is soo crazyy! If you watch the show I am sure you know what I am talking about! I must say though my favorite member of the cast is Phadrea she is soo funny and I love that she is a "Southern Belle". Member of the cast that I don't like is Kim! She makes drama and it seems like everything about her is fake...but even still the show is entertaining with a mix of some of Atlanta's wildest women:p If you watch the show tell me what you think! who is your favorite cahracter(s)?
